Eric Rybak said the Blue Chip 225 Showcase Camp was instrumental in his development as a Division I commit
“I was coached by some of the best college coaches out there,” said the Santa Margarita Catholic (CA) 2016 defenseman who this spring committed to Division I Bellarmine. “These coaches allowed me to become better through their constructive instruction and allowed me to see me what a college level coaching staff on the sideline is like.
“What really made the coaches so helpful was that they cared. After the camp I emailed the coaches with questions about how I could improve my game and about the process of being recruited. This helped me improve my game and learn how to get recruited.”
The schedule for 2016 for Ted Spencer’s Blue Chip 225 Recruiting Showcases at UMass Amherst has been released (see list and signup information below) for boys from 2017 to 2020 on the campus of the University of Massachusetts. The camps offer the best in college recruiting and skill training and exposure through video and live streaming.
Rubak also was named an All-Star at his Blue Chip camp and selected to complete for the Blue Chip 225 National Club Team.
“The things that I liked about the camp was that I was coached by top level D1/D2/D3 level coaches,” said Rubak. “It was VERY organized, and the amount of emails I got from college coaches when I got home the next day was amazing.
“Making the All-Star game allowed me to show my self to EVERY coach out there! The sideline was filled from left to right with coaches from every state, division, and league.”
Rubak also answered these questions:
What made the BlueChip 225 different from other recruiting events you have been to?
Rubak: “What made this camp different from other camps that I had attended was that everyone that went there was very talented, I got GREAT coaching from the college coaches that coached my team, and it helped me learn a little bit more about the recruiting process through the GREAT recruiting seminar we had during the camp that was led by top level coaches.”
Why would you recommend the camps to other players?
Rubak: “I would recommend the camps to players because they are there for the sole purpose of learning about the recruiting process and getting as much exsposure as possible in front of as many college coaches as possible! I would also reccommend the camps because they are just fun and exciting to be at from start to finish.”
How has being on the 225 travel team helped you improve your game?
Rubak: “Being selected to be on the Bluechip 225 travel team has allowed me to be yet again be coached by the best. Coach Ted Spencer is one of the best coaches out there and only wants the best for you and your game. Being on the team has allowed me to play with some of the best players out there and play against the best competition. Also the team has allowed me to have a great relationship with Coach Ted Spencer! He would always help me with sending emails to colleges and also calling different schools on my behalf! With him I would not be committed to my dream school.
“If you want to play in college and improve your game than this camp is THE camp to go to.”
